UK Vision Strategy - get involved!

A number of organisations for people with sight problems (Vision 2020 UK, RNIB, Action for Blind People and others) are launching a UK Vision Strategy in 2008. There is currently a consultation period for what should be in the strategy and it is vital that the needs of those of us with keratoconus should be included. We have been asked to provide examples of how people's lives have been changed by grafts, lenses or other treatment options, and also of the impact of the inadequacies of the system (eg periods off work while waiting for something to be sorted out, impact on study, career choices etc). So please post any relevant experiences here, or send them direct to me anne@keratoconus-group.org.uk
Contributions are needed very quickly, so let's make our voice heard!

I really think that this is a wonderful initiative. Here's a link to the RNIB "vision strategy" page.
