Getting into the industry

I'm not sure if this post is in the right place, so please gorgive if it isn't. I'm a SAFA (from South Africa) and am a qualified electronics engineer. I have searched the internet and paid a few agencies to help with getting a position on a rig either on or off-shore. Can any one please advise me as to good agencies, websites or anything will aid me in getting a position on a rig, gas field etc. I am willing to start with what I can get and then advance as it becomes possible. Thanks ahead of time.

Oh, any South Africans in here communicating woiuld also be great as I can then find out more about passports, visas and the like.
