A cautionary tale....

I'll start with the moral of this tale - look for the blindingly ('scuse the pun) obvious first!!
I have had the most awful problems with my eyes/ lenses this week feeling really sore, itchy, and dry and I have been using tons of systane. I was wondering what on earth was causing it and all set to take myself off to the local eye unit...............
And then the penny dropped when my husband complained of sore eyes too................
We have had a workman in all week fitting a new kitchen, doing plastering cutting worktops etc. I normally use the downstairs facilities for insertion /removal of lenses as the light is so much better - which just happens to be next to .........the kitchen
er...the problem has now been (more or less) solved....I am using the upstairs for dealing with my lenses! The dust is still a bit of a problem generally but things are 100% better than they were!
