They will try lenses in your eye. I guess that they may pop them in, although at my first appointment I spent time with a fitter before they introduced me to the lens, so that I put my first lens in myself.

They will probably start by measuring your eye to assess what lens is going to fit you best. They will try to get an RGP to fit. These are excellent lenses because they allow the best oxygen transfer to the cornea. Every time you blink you rpump new tears into the layer between the lens and your eye, so that the oxygen near your cornea is always being replenished.

All the best

Fitting will be the priority for the first appt.
When you go back for the lenses they will check the fitting of them, then you will see a technician who will teach you how to clean, insert and remove your lenses. Then you build up the wear very gradually, 30 mins, an hour and so on

Somebody complimented me on my driving yesterday - they left a note on my windscreen "Parking Fine" which was nice.
KC managed with softperm lens in left eye, Intacs (2/11/07) in right eye
