loose stitch

Postby Anne B » Thu 10 May 2007 1:32 pm

I think i have a loose stitch, its just rubbing a bit and it is a little bit blood shot in that area.
The question is do you think i would be silly if i left it till Saturday to get it seen to.
I have no transport to get to the hospital before then and i have just started back at work and i am working tommorow.
I know if in doubt get it checked out but last time i had a check up i had a loose stitch and didn't even realise!!!
Can you help me decide what to do.
:?

Ann.....get it checked!

I was bad and left mine. I then got told it was infected, so was given antibiotics which didnt help, (un)luckily it started getting painful and after much deliberating they pulled it out, and as a result i'm still on 6 drops a day.

May that be a lesson to you!

Anne,

You have transport, it is called a TAXI!

Get it checked as you will kick yourself if the soreness increases and you end up with an infection come saturday!

Hi Anne,

As others have said, it's best to err on the side of caution. I'd get it checked out as even if the stitch turns out not to be loose, than at least you'll have your mind put at rest.

All the best and report back on your findings. :D

thanks Pat that is really kind of you :D
I have had a good night sleep (went to bed before the kids!!!)and the eye feels alot better, still a bit red but the rubbing sensation has gone. i have had a really nasty cough and cold over the last week so maybe that has something to do with the discomfort in my eye.
Thanks for the advice everyone and i am going to keep a very close EYE on it over the weekend.

Pat

I think we'r ein sth esame boat. I can now see what loots like a bit of suture float around on the front of my eye. I think I'm going to bathe the eye regularly until Monday and if it is still there cut along to the eye clinic to have it tweeked off.
