Had a visit to my friends at the eye clinic today cause i have had a irritation for a good few days, thought it was a loose stitch cause it looks loose to me (ill post a pic on my blog at some point)

Turns out its not loose, I have an infection in a couple of spots around it and thats whats causing the irritation.

So got some antibotic ointment to slap in for a week.

I lasted 2 months with no problems

I'm sorry to hear that Sarah,

Are you sure you haven't been poking your eye to ensure you got a bit of extra attention, I know to your displeasure that it's been lacking recently.

Seriously though, all the best I hope the infection soon clears up. :D

At least we now know the reason for your failure to update your pondering thread is medical, rather than my assumption that you'd found answers to all the mysteries of the world. :D

Bored is something I now know only too well.

My eye felt similar to that after my graft, I kept saying I thought I had a stitch loose as it felt like something was rubbing everytime I blinked.

I still very occassionally get it and it really bugs me as I have to keep the eye closed for it to be comfortable.

I hope you get lots of care and sympathy over the coming days. I'll send Andrew over with some grapes and he can peel and feed them to you.

Bored? Know the feeling!

Take care. I am sure that the antibiotic ointment will do the trick and that you'll be back on the road again.

Congratulations on your two months trouble free!

Sorry Sarah,

I was hoping your eye was much better by now.

You certainly do deserve alot of sympathy for what you are going through.

I'm just off to look at those pictures.

All the best tomorrow, I'm pop back to see how you got on.

I was right - loose stitch. Got it pulled out eventually, werent keen to do it, but it was causing me pain so they did.

now on maxitrol and maxidex and go back for check up next week.

Dr really didnt want to do it, as he extremely worried about rejection. Is it normal for them to be so worried?

I have had 2 out before, and didnt have to take 10 steriod and 4 antibiotic a day for a week (only 6 maxitrol for 2 days) Should I be worried or is he just being very cautious?
