Has any graftees experienced what I seem to be doing?

I am not quite two months post-graft and find that after some discomfort in the grafted eye (these usually only last a minute or two) the vision seems to be a bit better the next day.

I presume it's the discomfort as the new cornea "knits" with the rest of the eye hence the better vision.

I now can read this as I am typing it using just the grafted eye (I do have to look hard though!) which was impossible before the graft.

Hoping I get a few more extra lines on my checkup on Tues!

Yup...that is common...as is changes in the vision upon waking..and also late at night....

Also, when you yawn and the eyes fill up with water, you notice that once the tears clear the vision may be better/worse for a while...

To quote myself last year, at 4 months post graft

I seem to see a pattern emerging of an irritable grafted eye for a few days, which suddenly settles with an accompanying very slight improvement in vision. I picture my eye healing and the stitches pulling then settling a bit. Has anyone else experienced this?

Title of the post, can you believe, as just mentioned 'no pain no gain!'

Same experience here! I think that I just put it down to the sutures tightening as the cornea 'heals'.

But, if you have a pain that worries you, especially if your vision changes, you are well advised to go to the eye casualty to have it checked. They will tell you if everything is fine and your pain is just down to the healing process.
