Unusual ways of inserting RGP's

I currently have a lower back problem and are under instructions to not bend foward at all which makes lens insertion difficult as I bend foward. However, I have found a novel way of doing it - lie on my bed face down with my head hanging over the edge of the bed. The laundry basket is just the right height to place in front of me with a towel on in case I drop the lens, though a chair could be used. This way I can insert my lens with no back bending.
Thought I would share this in case anyone else was ever in this position.

Really sorry to hear you have a bad back - can be quite restricting & debilitating. But I have to confess to being highly amused trying to picture someone lying on their bed, head hanging over the edge with a laundry basket in front of them putting in lenses...! Sounds more painful than the bad back!! But I'll remember this for future reference!
Hope your back gets better soon.

Louise, when i was trying out sclerals i found this to be the best way of getting them in with no b****y air bubbles.
I can now offer you a new gagget to aid you.
Its a child to sit on your legs so you don't fall of the bed.
Going cheap only three on offer

The old hanging off the end of the bed method.
Pops up atleast twice per year.
Sorry Louise, not novel at all, quite common really.
You must do better with the novel ideas

Well Gareth dearest, I guess I can't be brilliant and novel in all areas of my life having produced publications, events, and groups which were the first of their kind in mental health activism.
Put your apron back on and pick up that kitchen towel Audrey..
