Just thought Id post this here also for those that dont check the FAQ much; as a really good definition and overview of KC and treatment options.....(as well as the lesser known treatment options)

And I noticed that this self help forum was linked!

Apologies if this has been shown here before!

Scouring through the good old Inter-Web I came across an updated cross-referenced explanation of Keratoconus with updated treatment options!

Keratoconus : What is it?

Jay

As the pages in the forum become more and more, it does no harm to refresh our awareness of an old post.

thank you for the link again.

Andrew

Well, Wikipedia can be edited by anyone... and i've done an edit or two to that page... and found a link to us here already in place!

The web can be a wonderful place sometimes. As long as you're a spider and not a fly!

There is one guy who over see's it all for the topic of Keratoconus on Wikipedia, otherwise it would end up a whole mess. He is a member of http://www.kcglobal.org and gets most of the updated info. from there. Which is good to see.

Our link was one of the first up there, and then the other links come along... and then from what i was told there was a lot of links trying to seek a head by jumping the Que, it was not pretty what was going on, but it was noted who was doing it. It was left by some of us as we felt it was just petty, and so had no time for it.

There is a lot of updated info. to be added as news has changed, but Wikipedia's main guy has been pretty much left to do it in his good time.

Yeh John...spot on..just got an overview from it...as long as data can be substantiated its a free for all....interestng to say the least...good and growing site that is.....massive compared to last year!

I like the way at the end of it all references are quoted and notes added based on data and entries.

That site is just going to get bigger as there road map is very strong and the space there playing in is open to development.....good concept!

Although hats off to National Keratoconus Foundation and a number of the US based Cornea units; they have put in alot of the source data with excellent references!
