Went for my second check up today, which is just under 5 weeks after my graft.

I could read the first and second lines on the chart. Not razor-sharp but readable none the less. Haven't been able to do that since the hydrops since last April!

Pinhole viewer let me read 4 lines.

Team were pleased with eye pressure. They also measured the thickness of the cornea. Not sure why, but I am used to being prodded anyway!

Gave them the KCGroup poster and cards which Anne kindly sent to me a few weeks ago. They were very pleased/grateful and will put them out.

Thats really good news...the Pinhole vision is a good indication of what you can in theory get with correction.....so as its still early days....I hope it gets even better!

Good news - you must be pleased. You'll be competing with me for title of Champion of the Snellen chart at this rate!

I don't actually find the lighting that good in the room where I have my vision checked (I go to a nurse in a separate room before my main check up) but I suppose everyone is in the same boat!

Craig, as a non-graftee, it sounds like good progress to me. Pleased to hear it.

Craig,

Brilliant news at five weeks! As Jay said pinholes can be an indication of something near what you will get corrected so it all looks good!

Thanks for dropping off some info to the clinic that is great. Hopefully we will find some new friends!!

Good news Craig.

Graft thickness is measure to get an indication of how healthy the graft is.

They were pleased with the thickness too, so that's good to know what it relates to!
