I had my third visit to casualty yesterday - absolutley mortified when the recepitionist said shes fed up seeing me, noticed few days ago which i thought was gunk stuck to a stitch, anyway 2 days later still there, so went and got it checked out. I was right enough and the dr took what he could off.

Anyway this morning, woke up, and if by magic if got another minging thing hanging there,on the same stitch, it looks like a boogey!

The dr yesterday said everything else was looking fine (but my consultant seems to think the additional stitch they put in is loose, but i see him on tues) but in the meantime, so i can rest easy this weekend, has anyone else suffered this? Apart from it being very unsightly (that and my hair  ) any suggestions how i could get rid of it? (the corner of a tissue doesnt work)

Thanks in advance

Personally, if it is causing no physical irritation leave well alone until you see your consultant on tuesday.

Hi Sarah,

I'd agree with Gareth on this one!

Sarah

If it aint broke, don't fix it.

As to the receptionist, don't pay any attention. You pay her wages!

had my appointment today, consultant took out another stitch that he thought was loose last week....i could have swore he took it out of the left side of the eye - thats what it felt like, but no it was the otherside - the one that was gatherin all the dirt - makes sense now.

Anyway thats me, dont need to go back for 7 weeks, and im going to visit the optician that day too. All is well for me holiday (apart from a certain airline threating strike action), so im pretty happy.

ps forgot to ask about the eye shield
