Guys and Dolls out there
I know it's daft, but I am really scared witless (that's the polite version) about getting my lenses tomorrow. I have had so many knock backs and am so desperately hoping they will help, I don't know what I will do if I can't cope with them.
I've got all your earlier advice (which I am really grateful for and will take heed of ) but.........
Now then, I don't want any sympathy, honestly - just a group hug please!!!!!
Pat
...and I know after I hit the "submit" button I'm going to think I shouldn't have posted this!

It's ok to feel wobbly Pat, you're allowed. You can always bark on chit-chat

Pat,
We all know what its like to feel apprehensive and scared, I think because of the nature of KC we never quite know whats around the corner. Try to keep positive and strong. Hope things go well

Pat - two weeks tomorrow I'll be in exactly the same position as you - and I'm also pretty scared, you're not alone, and it's ok to feel that way. Hope it all goes ok tomorrow for you, let us know how you get on *group hug* xx

Pat,
Be a good girl guide and be prepared. Make a list of all your questions. Make notes, if possible take a friend to make notes of what is discussed.
A bit late to suggest this and I know I should have put this much earlier when you asked for advice.
Arrive early, despite Moorfields often running late, so you can have a calming cuppa prior your appointment.
Take something to listen too if you are unable to read, otherwise what I doo soemtimes, take a good book and a magnyfying glass to help read.
It will take a week or two to know how well you are doing with lenses as you have to start wearing them for either 1 - 2 hours to begin with and gradually build the time.
Good luck.

(((Pat and Vic)))
Take care, both of you. You are in our thoughts.
There is nothing daft, far less totally and utterly daft, about having a wobble at the prospect of having new lenses tried.
I hope all goes well for you.

Wishing you all the best and a big hug for your appointment. Let us know how you get on.
I'm very wobbly about my clinic appointment on Tuesday, as I've been moping along with a loose suture for weeks now.

I'll be with Vic to hold to her hand, and then our doggies have a chat in the cafe...people look at us and think we're strange for some reason
