London social

Hi all
Just spotted the details of the next London social.
As a relative newcomer, I don't know who organises this, and there's nothing on the details page to help. But I won't be able to make it - much as I would love to - unless it will still be going strong about 7pm? (Presumably not?) Reason is I'm going to Brussels for the weekend - and my Eurostar is due in to Waterloo about 18.30.

Nort sure if this is the right place to post this comment - but there doesn't seem to be a special "London group" category - unless I've missed it?

Hi Pat,

Well the social *sometimes* goes on after 7pm, but it usually peters out after about 6.30.

Never mind though, there's always the unofficial social after the AGM in March, and the following "official" social will be in April. So hopefully, we'll see you next time!

John
Please don't make it the last weekend in April! I'll be in Devon then!!

When is the AGM please? (Or have I failed the test of finding that on the site too....!)

Hi Pat,

No, you'd not missed that one yet, as we hadn't yet announced it. But since you're asking, it will be on March 24th at Moorfields.

Yes Pat, the official end of the social is usually when John carries Sweet out. I always leave before this because I have a bad back

We have lots in common - we aren't intelligent, I've got a bad back too, and we're both Gooners! :D Oh, and we have KC! :(
Sounds like Sweet and I might get on well!
See you at the AGM perhaps.

Pat knows I'm thick with my 1 A level.
No ineterst in football but we share the same motoring interst.

Like the Essex comment, probablyexplains why I was drawn to owning Fords, an Escort Cosworth and now the 70's Essex icon a white Capri :D

I have a bad back too, the lower two vertebrae are wired up

No I'm thicker, I failed CSE Maths , [I'm disnumerate] I got 'unclassified', I'm an unclassified woman! I wrote my name at the top of the paper than ate a box of choccie I'd been given. Suppose I could have counted the wrappers..
