Self Help Group Poster at Moorfields

Postby Michael P » Tue 09 Jan 2007 3:08 pm

Moorfields have for years been displaying a poster at the entrance to the contact lens department, advertising our self help group and providing Anne's contact email address.

This notice has been removed and when I mentioned this to the receptionist this morning, she expressed surprise.

She kindly said she would make arrangements for a new poster to be put up and I am sure she will do this.

However, if anybody is scheduled for an appointment at the CL dept during the course of the next few weeks, if the poster has not been reinstated, perhaps you could raise the question. Thanks

Maybe somebody took it home to use at their computer.

Anne very kindly sent me a little supply of cards. Perhaps a similar supply could be placed in a dispenser at the reception of all the main contact lens clinics in the NHS.

If its the same people at the CL clinic as when I was there...I wouldnt hold your breath!....Jeeez the two women there moan and groan at everything! and god forbid you have to go up and ask how much longer...then its like youve just commited the biggest sin!

I do hope they have changed the Clinic Admin staff!....

Jay, the receptionists today were great; very friendly and polite.

I will be surprised if the poster isn't reinstated.

That's fine Gareth.

I did tell Anne that the poster had been removed when we met at the last London social.

I said I was due to attend Moorfields early this month and would draw this to the receptionist's attention.

I hope that nobody thinks I have been interfereing because I did volunteer to bring this matter up.

Hi Michael,

Welcome back - long time no post!

Thanks for bringing the poster issue up. We actually have it on our committee agenda, but it would be nice to see it back.

Thanks for raising the issue with the receptionists.
John
