I was being seen by a super optician in Peterborough who was full appraised of our condition, alas he has now left and i am not over impressed with his replacement, I am finding it increasingly difficult locating an optician who can demonstrate their capabilities with this disease. I live in Peterborough but am prepared to travel to see a good optician. anybody know of any either locally or within an hour of Peteborough? Many thanks

Hi Pauline,

Welcome to the forum.

We have been compiling a list of optoms people here have recomended so there might be one there.

If you register your details with Anne Klepatz she will be able to send you all sorts of KC related information and also let you know the log in and password.

The closest I can fid is Market Harborough;

Mr Peter Warren At Clinton-Smith & Warren

12 St Marys Rd
Market Harborough
LE16 7DU

This is a bit further away south of you;

Shephard And Akay

5 Churchyard
Hitchin
SG5 1HR

http://www.shephardandakay.co.uk/main.htm

and a bit further east from Market Harborough is my optician who knows about KC but will not be able to fit you with lenses.

Scrivens

7 Regent Street
Rugby
CV21 2PE

Hope this helps in the short term while you find someone closer.

Two more alternatives would be to visit your nearest university department of optometry. I amafraid I do not know where the enarest department would be to you.

Otherwise, is there any possibility of your seeing a hospital contact lens clinic?
