what do you recommend for dry eyes. Soft lenses.
Taking into account theyll have to be preservative free.

I use Sytane for dry eyes which is available in preservative free ampoules from Post Optics by mail order.

I find them really good, but I had to start using them every few hours to start off with untill the eefects built up and now only use them first thing in the morning, last thing at night. The other down side is you need to remove your lenses to use the drops.

Another set I use on occassions is Blink by Amo available from Boots again in preservative free single use ampoules which can be used while wearing lenses which is a bonus. Downside I found with these is that the effects are short lived and always so for no more than an hour or so. Still good for an emergeny stop gap and give light releif until something more major can be done with the Systane.

Not sure if these are available where you are.. but i'm using Refresh, by Allergan.
I've only just started using them and they have been the best i've found so far.
I don't like to have to take out my lenses to put drops in either - and these don't seem to leave any coating over the lens which is fantastic!

These are marketed as "Refresh Contacts" by Amo (the "consumer arm" of Allergan in Europe) in the UK.

i started using refresh and have found them the best by far,they're fake tears and come in little disposable ampules so are really handy too,especially if youre out,no need for a bottle,and theyre really cheap too

I think that Gareth has explained why it is that different fake tears suit different people. It has something to do with the different elements in natural tears.

I'm not a systane user, but hypermelose and carbomer gel do the trick for me.

samba thanks i cant use refresh i have a reaction to it.
I brought some systane from postoptics and will try it soon. Im just going through process of a change of solution from oxysept to optifree so need to see if that reacts badly before i try systane.
