Just thought Id mention now that there have now been 5 LASER corneal transplants been performed in the UK!
To me this is fantastic news! As it now means the process of cutting can be more controlled and recovery periods will decrease!
The 5 have been performed for Full Grafts....so Im suspcting the next steps are to allow this for Partial Grafts!
All of these were performed at Centre for Sight.
