While surfng the net I have seen keratoconus linked to collagen abnormalities. There are some vague mentions of some of these conditions leading to premature delivery in pregnancy, due to membrane rupture. Has anyone any experience of this. I have KC and suffered ruptured membranes at 26 weeks.

Both my girls were born a few days after their due dates.
Twenty six weeks is awfully early. What happened Val?

My little boy did not survive. He would have been 21 on Sept 11. Maybe things would have been different with todays technology. I have a niece who was born at 26 weeks just 5 years later, she did have major problems for many years, but is a delightful relatively normal 16 year old now. I did go on to have two more children which I carried till 38 weeks, after having a 'stitch' in my cervix to prevent a reoccurrance.

Oh Val.

A big hug from me to you. The 11th must have been a very difficult day for you.
