Quick Update

Just a quick update to let everyone who has been so helpful and thoughtful towards David and myself know, that he is now surpassing all of my wildest dreams with his lenses. So much for my gut instinct that he would not even be able to wear them. I am pleased to say that I was wrong.

Not only is he managing to wear them almost everyday. He is also going out wearing them and they have certainly improved his confidence because of course he can see much better with them in.

He's out at the moment with his friends gone to play pool - not done that for almost a year now, and then for a meal. He has also read all of the info that was sent to us from the group, something he has never done for his autism, so he is much more clued up now. David accepts that KC is a disability but will not accept that his autism is

Excellent news.

I bet there are loads of parents are going to look at this and think 'I wish my teenager would wear their lenses like David'.

Is David looking forward to the new school term in a couple of weeks in the knowledge he will be able to see more?

Hi Gareth

David has been home edcuated since he crashed out of the system when he was 11. Two years before his diagnosis of autism.

However he is now looking for a College course that he would like to do. He's very into ICT and would like to do something on those lines.
