Good News

Postby Anne B » Wed 05 Jul 2006 11:28 am

Well after many months of thinking about it i have decided have a graft in my right eye.

The good news is that my husband has just phoned a told me that he has got me private health care with his work and they take on excisting conditions, and i can have my graft done and all my after care :D :D :D

I have a appointment at Moorfields to see John Dart tomorrow so i will speak to him about it.

Feeling really excited.

Anne

Good on yer Anne.

Hope all goes well with John, with his repuation you will be on good hands.

Does your hubbies insurance cover adopted children?

If so, would you consider adopting a well over 30 big kid? :D

Just for the health insurance

Having met Anne, I know the response is about as diplomatic as she gets :D

Anyways, if you don't ask you don't get.

Good news Anne - and good luck with John Dart.

You'll be joining us on a short waiting list soon, I'm sure!

It all went well yesterday.
We decide to try the scleral lenses, i have a appointment on the 26th july. But i am going to book in with John Dart to have the opp privatly. He said waiting time was 6 weeks max!! i can't really do anything untill september because of the school holidays.

His only concern is that my eyes are still quiet inflammed and he said i would need to use a stronger steroid eye drop for 2 weeks before the opp.

My concern is that i did'nt get to ask many questions. (i had other doctors looking at my superior KC) so i was wondering do you get a chance before the opp to ask questions or do you think i should book a consultation.

They spent ages trying to get a topograph, but they could't get one(the error message said that my nose was in the way! my husband has now taken to calling me hooter  ) I also had so photos taken of my eyes. Then blood tests blood pressure and sugar levels i finally walked out of Moorfields at 2.30 my appointment was at 9.30. What a long day.

Anne
