Hi,
If I am lucky enough to get corneal cross linking will that change my sight prescription? I have anither appointment on Tuesday for a confirmation and am wondering if I should go ahead and get my new prescription before or after this "confirmation" appointment?
Thanks!
L

Hi Laura,
You don't say whether your prescription is for contact lenses or for glasses? It might be sensible to wait until after Tuesday to see when your crosslinking might be. Sometimes crosslinking can change the prescription a bit, and it may be a few weeks after the procedure before you know what effect it's had.

I recommend waiting. Your prescription can definitely change up to a year afterwards! Mine did, in fact it got a lot better for a while, then unfortunately almost returned to where it was. The best bet affordability wise, is to get contacts from the NHS during all this... as you're never given a final prescription (whilst they find out what's right for you) you should be able to get them for free.
