Hi I've had this scratching feeling on my right eye for over a month now. I saw my optometrist a couple of weeks ago and she looked under my eyelid and said there was a small spot basically, and it's nothing to worry about and will go away on its own.

I'm not sure if I should be worrying as it obviously hasn't, and it doesn't feel any better in the slightest. I presume she's correct about it being on my eyelid because when I put my contact lens in I can hardly feel it anymore. I'm also slightly concerned that if it's rubbing against my cornea, it could be making my keratoconus worse? It's my inferior eye anyway and tbh I does seem a bit worse and 'cloudy' recently I have an appointment next week so I will of course mention this again... but just wondering if anyone's had similar on here before?

Just thought I'd update this.

My optometrist had another look today, and decided that under the lid was fine. She put drops in my eyes and although not 100% sure, it looks like it could be small abrasions on my epithelium. I've been given 'lacri-lube' to apply at night, as it's actually become quite painful in the mornings.

I should be having CXL on that eye in July so I guess whatever happens, it's a fresh start with the epithelium
