Hello

If i wanted to try kerasoft lens - how would i go about this.

I live in leicester and current attend my local hospital for RGP's. I am keen to try kerasoft lens but i know my hospital are reluctant to move away from RGP's.

Is there anyone i could see privately?

Thanks

Why are they reluctant?

When I first went to the hospital they tried RGP's... didn't quite work out for me so I changed to soft lenses, no problems whatsoever. They are there to serve you lol, tell them what you want!

For your information, Kerasoft IC including fitting costs (privately) cost £465. I'm sure you know they're £108 on the NHS... so quite a fair difference there.

I've had Kersofts from the team at Leicester, found them very comfortable after a poor first experience with RGPs. Had to push a little bit to get them to agree as they (in my case) rightly pointed out that the acuity achieved doesn't quite match up to RGPs - but if you can't stand them then that's fairly moot.

That's the key, push to try something different. Their reluctance is more likely to be down to cost as the RGP's are so cheap comapred to any other type of lens for KC.
