I seem to see a pattern emerging of an irritable grafted eye for a few days, which suddenly settles with an accompanying very slight improvement in vision. I picture my eye healing and the stitches pulling then settling a bit. Has anyone else experienced this?

Val,

Not noticed what you describe, but I wonder if with the changing weather and the air conditioned environment most of us work in has an affect on the hydration of the cornea.

I find that the better hydrated I am, the better my eyes cope with air con and higher outside humidity helps too.

Warm air holds more moisture than cold.

It may be that your conea drys a bit so you feel the stitches tug and that may make the eyes water a little bit and then settle things down again.

Yeah.I know what you mean about the moisture thing. I sometimes even run some boiling water and blink in the steam.
My eyes are always much better after I've been crying, not that I do it a lot! And coincidently I did have few tears on monday and felt a lot better on tuesday. I'll have to start watching weepy movies or something!
