I've been fed up with my sunglasses, not fitting me, not dark enough... have usually gone to Boots or John Lewis, nothing expensive so I decided to push the boat out and get a seriously good pair. I went to an opticians and got polarised Ray Bans. Not cheap [don't ask!], but really good black out and fit. They also look seriously cool, I feel like I should have some telephone wire around my ear and talk into my sleeve like a special agent! I've never been so excited about a pair of glasses.

Fashion apart. sunglasses generally are better if you pay a decent amount for them. Polarised are the best as they actually physically cut out reflected glare. Tinted ones resuce light level goin gthrough to your eye but still allow scattered light and glare through so you still can't see that well. This is a VERY important factor for KC.

Just need my warning hat on also to say cheap sunglasses can do more damage than nothing at all as if they dont actually cut out UV, then the tint causes your pupil to dilate and allows more harmful rays to come through! And just becasue it has a little label on SAYING it cuts out UVA and UVB it doesn;t always mean that it does sadly as there are a lot of fakes around!

Seriously though Lynn you are right, because I've bought glasses which have claimed to be xyz, but I've still been squinting. These are really good and I'd rather buy one expensive pair then several cheaper ones. The person in the optoms thought that out of all of them Ray Bans were superior for black out and quality than more expensive and fashionable others. Well some of the Gucci types were not as effective and some looked like Geordies glasses from Star Trek! Look I love trek but I don't want eat, sleep and breathe it! There was a reduction on all sunglasses, can't remember the %, [I'm disnumerate] but I got them for £100 instead of £145, they were down to £109 but he let me have them for £100. Was that good Lynn? I've never purchased such an expensive pair of sunglasses before but they fit and give the required black out AND make me look cool!

The one problem with polarized sunglasses that I've found is that they distort the LCD screen on the navigation system in my car. The colors went all wonky and the maps were very hard to read.
