Thanks for the advice, new lens on it's way- the nearest appointment I can get is in November.

I will try removing my seatbelt when practising on Thursday. I was initially using the mirros to help my way round, because I was aware that my lens would probably fall out. however, the instructor told me not to do this unfortunately. Ach well, we will see how it goes.

I hope your new lens arrives soon; in the meantime you have the consolation that you have now emerged into a section of the population otherwise occupied by the elderly and infirm: you are the sort of person who loses his contact lens when reversing the car!

How are the lessons going, or are you still off the road waiting for new lenses?

Yeh, I have continued learning and have been using my old contact lens. I am waiting for a new one to come through. Had my 9th lesson today- starting to get the hang of it! And my lenses havent fallen out since!
