Alison,
The first thing I noticed when I got my lens for the dodgy garfted right eye was that I had aged.
The nurse found it quite funny when I shreiked "I'm old I need to shave my nose hair!"
I love having decent sight, but for me the price is now being able to see my physical defects, but a price worth paying.
When to have a graft?

I had another shock when I got home and saw all the dust.
No matter what the reason, any sudden improvement in your sight can be quite disconcerting can't it? When I've got a new prescription I've always found supermarkets to be amazing places - with all the colours of the packaging. I love looking at my garden as well - to see individual leaves on trees instead of a blurred green blob, and individual blades of grass as well.
grafts in 1992 and 1996
