Do we win a prize if I get John's employer's name right.

Let me see, is one of the bosses a prominent member of the Labour Party and a sometime cabinet minister?

Am I allowed to play because I know the answer

When I worked for Tesco they were very accomodating when I could not make it to work over the Easter weekend in 1997'ish. Worked for the government during the week and Tesco at the weekends. Due to heavy rain I had to move radioactive stuff out the sellars when water started to come in. Could not have that getting into the water system. By the time I left the only place you would not get wet feet was my upstairs lab where I spent the night. Next day got just past Long Marston Army base where I had to abandon the car after rescueing a familly who's car got stuck in a flood and later washed away! Spent the night in a B&B, collected the car the next morning when it had stopped floating, a can WD40 later drove to Stratford where I spent another night in a B&B and the next day finally made it home.

Took me 4 days and 3 nights to get home a distance 75 miles, because of the nature of the circumstances my pay was not docked qas most stores would have done.

That's good news Sarah, it can be good to just get out of the house once you've been trapped in it for a couple of weeks! Even to work :D

And Andrew: no.

OK...: yes, but Mr. David hasn't been one of the "bosses" for about 10 years. He sent the company bearing his name into the doldrums, and then quit to join the SDP! Funny how he has the opposite of the Midas touch!

How confusing is this? Dame Shirley noi longer own Tesco; Mr David no longer owns the supermarket that still bears his name; you'd think they would wait for all the old people to be dead before they made these changes.

 i like being a lady of leisure.

work was painful, my eye was fine tho lol

i look like theres nothing wrong with me......just as well had my picture with me, it turned a few stomachs.

anyway deciding what to right in my 4 new diaries i got for xmas....im only going to have 1 full week before i go on hol. which leads me on to my question.....

i bought an annual travel insurance from tesco way back in may when i was goin to singapore. I never declared i had KC, as at the time i couldnt see, but got on with...there wasnt a need to basically. Obviously quite a lot has happened in the past 4 months, things which werent even a thought in may....so anyway, i phoned tesco and told them i had just had surgery, will i still be covered. the guy asked if i knew i was getting the operation when i purchased, obviosuly i didnt, and so he said as its happened midway thru your policy, and you didnt know you will be covered.
I think because i never told them i had the pre-existing medical condition in the first place, i wouldnt be covered....any one got any thoughts or experiences before i phone back?
