Soft lens - help please

If you had intacs in one eye only 3 weeks ago and still unsure about the success why rush into having the other eye done so soon? If you can hope with your hard lens for now, would it not be better to wait a while ? It'll also make it easier to have a break from the lens once you can cope with the other eye. Just a thought.

The surgeon has told me that the op went smoothly and that everything looks great, including the new topography so I believe it's just a matter of time till my vision improves.

Whilst I do have my hard lenses they are really uncomfortable and make my eyes permanently red and sore (which was the whole reason for having the intacs in the 1st place).

Also, if I wait any longer it's going to interfere with my studies and sport... so over Xmas/New Years is a pretty good time to have it done as I don't have anything else on except work.

Good luck Kirsten, hope all goes well. I was just making the point that if I had a procedure done on one eye I'd want to make sure the outcome is satisfactory ie I can see clearly before having it done on the other eye.

Yeah I know what you mean.

I guess I just have a lot of faith in the surgeon and the outcome we can expect and want to get things sorted as soon as possible so I can get on with my life!

Hopefully everything will turn out well - i've been told I'll most likely not need any type of visual correction once my eyes have healed properly. Whether this is being ambitious or not I don't know, but if I can get more comfort and no redness/irritation from lenses afterwards then it's definitely worth it.
