Anne,

I think you would be safer wearing boxing gloves or one of those white coats where the arms are done up at the back

My eye has calmed down and the watering has stopped, so panic over.

Andrew, i am glad you didn't do any damage to your eye in the night. I have woken in the night and found myself trying to pull of my sheild. I think i will sleep in mine for the rest of my life

Gareth, its not me that needs the straight jacket its the hubby and kids

Thanks all once again, you lot are great people to know :D

Hi Anne,

Don't worry about it, but if a couple of hours pass and it still looks different, then I'd certainly follow the ward's advice.

I'll admit now to poking myself in the eye slightly after my first graft. It hurt like anything for about 5 mins, but had stopped watering within 20 mins. I phoned the consultant and was told that I'd be ok... but that she'd check it out at my regular appointment within a week.

The hospitals never object to you being checked out - they don't want to deal with any problems either!

If all is well though, then you obviously don't need to go in. Just resolve not to forget again!

Still, on the plus side, if you managed to forget the graft, at least it doesn't hurt now, does it?

Hope you're all sorted soon.
John
