Injured calf meant I walked 90% of it. Blisters from 6 miles requiring first aid and a queue for the loo added about 30 mins to my time. Crossed Tower Bridge in just over 3 hrs, passed my hubby running the other way - had a quick kiss over the barrier! They were washing away the blue line and clearing up the water bottles most of the way but finally got to Bird Cage Walk and the lens fell out of my glasses! As they are tinted I took them off to go over the finish line as I didn't want to look like a pirate in my triumphant photo! And nearly tripped over the mat!! 6 hrs 54 mins and 27 secs. Feel a bit tired, legs aching, blisters like duck eggs, eyes ok. Hubby gave his medal to a blind lady who was walking it in 8 hrs plus - I'd read that they stop giving medals out after 8 hrs and he felt she should have one. We're sharing mine. And I beat a camel and a Dalek!

Thanks everyone! Going for a nice massage today to restore movement to limbs! There are some scary pics of me on http://www.marathonfoto not sure what comes after the dot sorry. In the search bit type in my surname, Nixon, and running no. 38886. Sorry don't know how to do proper links!
The marathon certainly helped my through this graft and I'm fitter and healthier than I've ever been. Just need to get my glasses fixed now!

Yup it works, link above takes you straight to Lisa's pictures.
Looks like the weather was as good as it was where I was in Wellingbrough. Cool and breezy and relatively high humidity.
