RED EYES - CATACROM

Postby kieran19685 » Wed 11 Jun 2014 12:26 pm

Hi All

Just wanted to share my experience with Red eyes and how i seem to be overcoming this.

I have been sufferring from redness for about two years when using my contacts and have recently been prescribed Catacrom eye drops which has been amazing.

I have been using this for about a week and the redness have completely disappeared. To be used four times a day and i think the redness was caused by dry eyes and some sort of allergic reaction.

The redness has completely disappeared and the contact lens feels much for comfortable as well.

Very pleased.....

Good to hear that you've had some positive results. There seem to be more drops being developed for dry eye these days which affects lots of people who don't have KC as well as us, though with our contact lens dependency, we probably suffer more than most! The Hylo Tears I was prescribed recently are certainly helping my dry eye. But lubricating drops are a bit like lenses for KC - we all need a bespoke solution.
And all the best with your appt for discussing a graft. Let us know what happens.
Anne
