After the conference n whilst inspired after being disillusioned with the local hospital I made the decision to pay for a private 2nd opinion on my eyes
I wont bore you with the etails but my transplant eye with the aid of specs can now read the top line n the specs have blank glass in the left due to how far gone that eye is
I also tried severeal post graft lenses in the right eye n with one in particular I was able to read the top TWO lines
The dude I saw was reluctant to rx the lens till the hospital gave the ok which is understandable
Fast forward to yesterday n I had my appointment with the hospital, where a topography was taken n mor incompetencies occured the lenses fitter was "unable to interpret the results" despite 20 years experience of working with KC!
She then tried to get a script for glasses n failed, tried 2 different lenses "thays all the nhs will allow" n I could only read the top line very blurily n halo'ing
so it is a no brainer that when I got home I rung the private dude n have made an apt for tuesday afternoon
Was offered one toay but no childcare n dont fanc taking a crawling 9 month old wjose tryin to walk with me
not much of a decision really
