Help!!!
I have had corneal graft and few days back my doctor while checking iop unintentionally hit the tonometer in the eye. One of my stitches broke off and now the astigmatism has increased a lot. Actually my surgery was done in Dubai and I don't know how much damage it could have done to the graft
.

Re: Help!!!
Hi
As long as the eye is not significantly more red or painful then when you had the graft I wouldn't worry to much. The eye will be a bit tender and uncomfortable for a few days/weeks. I would assume if there was a major problem he/she would have resolved it at the time.
With regards to the astigmatism that will change a lot over the next couple of years anyway. It's common to have adjustments made to the sutures during that time. I am 18 months post graft and its still being adjusted.
Any issues with Redness, Sensitivity, Vision , Pain (RSVP) warrants a visit to clinic for graft patients. But as I mention earlier you'll get those post graft anyway. When is your next checkup ?
Ian.

Re: Help!!!
Thanks.
Right after the surgery the astigmatism was not that much and did not interfere with the vision but now after removal of some stitches the condition has gone bad due to breakage of unintentional stitches.
I am going to see the doc next week so lets see what he has to say.
But my grafted eye is lazy and also squint so once all stitches are removed I will have to try contact lenses to remove diplopia. Hopefully it works and I don't need a squint surgery for that
