Extending some hours the use of contact lenses daily?

After visiting this week my optician for obtaining a new glass prescription the result was not perfect
One of my eyes could not be improved and the formulae could not be improved –for now will be the old one–
Consequences for one eye: a sort of eyesight slightly blurred, with a minimum double-sided effect.
(noticeable in Tv captions, for example)

My situation: very stable keratoconus in both eyes, forty years ago, but very good vision with hard contact lenses, and almost good with glasses.
My using of HCL is 10-12 hours per day in perfect tolerance.

May be in six months this eye could change again for good?
Could be a step to try to extend the daily use with a different material? Perhaps Keraflex?
Or I am just throwing a tantrum and must continue accepting the impertinence of old age?

I have ectasia induced from a lasik mishap. I have an rgp lens in the right eye that works well and I have only been using it for six months or so but I have to wear it most waking hours to see at all. Glasses will not work for me but contacts will. The left eye had a cataract from the lasik and crosslinking and age but I am waiting for a lens that will work on that eye. I have previously used a mini scleral lens with good success and comfort.

If all else fails try the mini scleral lenses. They will more likely than not work.
