ANd the problems with the graft.
As regards length of time till the transplant: it depends on how the cornea is processed after it is removed fromthe donor. A month is not unknown ... I had the operation on 30th of the month after the donor died 27th previous month; in my case my op was the latest date for suse of that cornea. SO 14 days shouldn;t be a problem I;d have thought but I suppose it depends how the hospital store the cornea from transport. I;m not an expert.
I gather that endothelium problems, with resultant cloudiness, are a known problem, and risk with grafts.
No-one explained this to me beforehand - I dont remember hearing of it. I have a slight version 0 the eye is clear enugh (but very shortsighted and astgmatic) when "naked" but goes cloudy very quickly with a contact lens in. I've been told it may imrpove with time the longer thae graft has had to settle down.
Reducing the drops to two-hourly sounds good (apart from easier to do).
As long as the vision is sllightly better than it was, don;t give up hope! Grafts can take a long time to heal and settle and get the full effect.
Light sensitivity is normal too.
Incidentally, I;ve had occasions (pre-graft and in other eye) where I;ve had my vision going foggy ecause of wterlogging from a split in my own endothelium. That took a month to six weeks to clear. No idea how much this reates, but please do hang in there and keep positive.
All best ishes.
