Contact lens wear and work

Postby chris1972as » Tue 06 Jul 2010 5:50 pm

I like many on here really heavy on my contact lenses for goodish sight, the problem though being when I do heavy work in which can be physically demanding i find my vision becomes poorer and I am not sure how to take this forward??? Without stepping on toes as such... :D

Explain to your optometrist that you have this problem. I don't know whether you are wearing RGP lenses or another style of lens or lenses made from different material, but if you are wearing RGP's it is easy to understand why physical strain would alter your eye and therefore your vision.

Perhaps you would be better suited to another lens type. SO2 clear or sclerals might be an alternative?

When I get dehydrated, my vision drops off slightly so discussing this with your optom might be an idea too as you might be getting slightly dehydrated due to the physical activity.
