Ouch - My eyes hurt!

Postby Jennie_5678 » Sun 06 Jun 2010 6:58 pm

Hi Everyone!

Today, I went to my niece's Christening and had my lenses in for quite a long time. When I came home and took them out I was in extreme pain and discomfort. No drops I used, seem to calm the eye or subside the pain. I was just wondering if you could get hold of an eye drop on the counter that is a painkiller. I feel that this would really help me, especially after a long day!

Hope you are all well.

Hi Jennie
I'm afraid I don't know of a pain killing eye drop, but an ordinary pain killer might do the trick. And hopefully a good night's sleep and going easy on the lenses tomorrow will mean everything returns to normal.
All the best
Anne

If the pain fails to subside overnight, get to eye casualty because you might have got something under the lens which has scratched or agrevated the cornea and the last thing you want is an eye infection. Such things if caught early arequickly reasolved and everything soon returns to normal.
