piggyback rgps
huge headaches for over a week now, think i may have a slight corneal abrasion on the left eye, nout to do but wait it out no seeing as i wont be able to get an nhs appointment for at least 4 weeks.
trying to wear the lens for as little as possible, keeping the eye well moist with drops, seem to have the odd day without but im taking a lot of ibuprofen atm to get through a day at work!

Re: Getting a busting headache
BurnTheAction,
I'm sorry to hear you are having problems.
If it is a corneal abrasion take the lens out and wait several days before trying again. Wearing the lens, even for short periods, will not help the abrasion and the eye will take longer to heal. I know it is tempting to wear a lens so you can see but it will not help in the long run. Just wear lenses in the unaffected eye until the affected one has healed.
Four weeks seems a long wait for an appointment. Do contact your clinic, explain your problems and ask for an Urgent Review.
Hope this helps,
Lia

No argument there. In your place, I think Id go to my contact kens clinic for a review.
Any idea what is causing the headaches?
All the best.
Andrew

In your position I wouldn't try making an appointmmnet, just get down to the nearest eye casualty.
If it is an abrasion, wearing lenses may well make it worse so best to leave lenses out. You'll probably end up seeing the world as a blur for a shorter time compared with potentially doing more damage.
