Another poem - sorry - lack of sleep leads to these things.
As a young person I was regularily informed 'man is made as a likeness to G-d'
as I grew older I begun to ask many questions.
I am female,
but you tell me G-d is male,
so clearly I am not in his likeness.
Then to read 'an eye for a eye shall leave the whole world blind'
but yet who's eye did I take,
to in return be left with deterioration of my own vision?
'Be the change you want to see in the world'
I know that change, I will see it, but will it be seen through your eyes as it will mine?
“My eyes are an ocean in which my dreams are reflected.”
I graduate on Tuesday, so you could say one dream will be reflected in the lens of the camera of a photographer.
“The eyes are the mirror of the soul”
My neshama is my soul, but because my vision is a blur what state is my soul left in?
