All the best with this. Don't know about KC related projects in the East Midlands.

Great idea! Let us know how you get on.

Hi House
Great that you're raising money for KC. Just to clarify - the regional groups don't have their own funds. The KC Group just has one central account which is used to fund all our activities such as production and distribution of newsletters, any costs of the regional groups such as room hire, producing our various booklets and leaflets, and funding the conferences we hold every 2 years. Sometimes we're lucky enough to get help from Awards for All towards funding the conferences (we're currently waiting to hear if they'll give us any money this year). We have also donated towards research into KC in the past. One of our members cycled from Lands End to John O Groats, and the money he raised went towards the genetic research at Moorfields. So you could find a research project to support - the only problem with that is that they tend to need 50K or more! So it depends on how ambitious you are.
Good luck
Anne
