Fight for Sight, a charity which funds research into eye conditions, has been in touch with the KC Group to let us know about their research grants for 2009. These include two grants which are relevant to us - one to researchers at Belfast who will be researching the genetics of KC, the other to UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, London, looking at improving the quality of donor corneas for transplantation. You'll find more details on the Fight for Sight website

Re: More research into KC
That's interesting, Anne.
Do we have any idea how the new KC genetics link project will relate tot he project already going on at Moorfields?
I hope both we can get a report on findings on both projects - for future newsletter, or conferenec/meeting talk - or to post on the website of course.

Hi Rosemary
I don't know any more than is on the Fight for Sight press release at this stage. The project won't be starting until October 2009 and I imagine it will take a good few years before it produces any results. But we'll certainly try to get some updates along the way.
