I have spoken further with my surgeon and he explained that he may be able to perform the deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty procedure, which carries a much lower risk of graft rejection, but may not have as good visual outcome than with a full PK. I was also told that laser surgery or excimer laser to further increase visual acuity would be an option after full healing of graft!! Sounds great

I am so sick of this thin, jerk of a cornea! Just want it cut out. I am planning on keeping my old cornea in a lil container with formalin, for memories and a cool oddity for my computer desk.
Has anyone else had the DALK procedure, I am reading many articles that it is becoming a very popular procedure, if able to be done of course.

Oh, has anyone else had any type of laser/refractive surgery post op. I have heard many people say that graft and laser are totally contraindicated, but according to my surgeon, it may be an option.
