mini scleral lenses

Postby jamesar » Wed 02 Jul 2008 8:07 am

:? Hello people, i was just wondering if anybody here has suffered from headaches due to mini scleral lenses or any other lenses. When I put in my lenses I seem to get this ache in my frontal lobe and behind my eyes. When I remove the lenses, the headache decreases in pain over about a period of 2 hours. I am not exactly sure that they are related. I am gonna see my optometrist soon, but thought I would check and see what you guys think. Thanks

Hello Jamesar

I don't know if the two are related either, but in your place I would be heading back to see my optometrist.

I've tried the mini-sclerals, but only in a fitting session - I get on better witht he big ones.
Errrrm....... better be careful how ones sas that sort of thing!
I do have headaches from time to time that feel like they are "right behind the eyes".
Normally I associate them with keeping the lenses in too long, or my eyes starting to get sore, or bright lights etc etc.
NOt by any means all the time I wear lenses.
I agree with Andrew: I'd go back to tell the optom aout the headaches.
Rosemary
