Eye rubbing

I stopped wearing my sheild at about 2 months post op, but this morning i woke up rubbing my eye quite hard, and now its a little sore--- I think I will go back to using the shield for a bit again. I use a clear tape, but it does leave a sticky goo on my cheek which is irritating- the only way to get it off is to rub talcum powder into it.... which is even less glamourous--- if i forget to rub it off i walk around with 2 white stripes on my face... hee hee hee
