I was mulling over some old posts recently and was reminded of the 'hot topic' of some years ago: Ferrara Rings. This treatment option seems to have completely disappeared from our radar; not the same as Intacs they seem to have been usurped by the Intacs protocol.

This made me wonder whether much of the hype around new treatments has more to do with fashion than clinical indicators or even excellence?
