is it me...?

Postby Sarah M » Mon 10 Dec 2007 7:31 pm

Hello everyone, hope everyones well!

I have no news on the graft front....have appointment next week, getting another refraction test, so hoping theres some improvement there, cant believe its been over a year since got it done.

But my query is with regards to my other eye..... ever since Aprilsih time I can have had to wear my rgp lens everytime I leave the house cause I cant see, and have had no major problemos. However, 3 times in the last week, my lens has decentred, and last night I thought it had vanished (found it eventually stuck right in the corner). This has only ever happened to me once before on my grafted eye, yeaaaars ago.

Should i consider getting an appointment at opticians or is this just one of these unlucky things that happens?

Sarah,
If it's only just started happening then it sounds as though the fit may have changed a bit and maybe needs tweaking. So certainly worth going along to your opticians to check whether anything can be done.
I hope all goes well at your graft follow up.

Sarah,

Hey there! Sorry to hear about you having problems, my lens used to do this before I started piggy backing. Now the lens stays in place as it is on top of a soft lens!

Having a lens move is annoying especially when you are doing something important and it suddenly moves but it can be fixed. As Anne said it might just need to be adjusted slightly, KC corneas are changing all the time so it is worth going to see the optician to check.

I used to find as well that if my eye was too wet that the lens would move slightly, mainly after I put lubricating drops in. The lens would centre itself but sometimes it would need to be moved.

Hope that you get an optician to check things out soon! Take care, love Sweet X x X
