Graft

Postby David Lurie » Wed 05 Dec 2007 11:28 am

To my horror, my surgeon rang me up at the weekend, said there weren't enough corneas available for m y op in January and told me he had to move me forwards.... so I'm going in to surgery on the 21st December. I'm really nervous.

(oh, and about me: KC sufferer 8 years, aged 23, one eye only, no sign in the right eye, piggyback in the left eye soft plus rigid, rigid lens in the short sighted eye, no family history, just very bad luck)

David,
That's one way of getting out of cooking the xmas dinner!
I just had a graft, about two weels ago. I was nervous too but it was OK in the end. Little bit sore when I woke up and for a day or so, but not too bad, very manageable. You will be OK, I'm sure and the good side is you'll have better eye-sight a little bit sooner!
Good Luck :D

I wish, but now my family's coming here instead of my flying back to England so I'm still cooking. Fun.

David

Welcome to the forum

Of course you are nervous, but at least this way you will have had your operation before Christmas, so you'll not hve your festive season overshadowed by it!

All the best.

Andrew
