Hello All

Postby MichaelC » Wed 18 Jul 2007 12:19 pm

Hello all im new to your forums but have done a little reading over the last month.

It was confirmed I had KC roughly 4 weeks ago and got my first contacts yesterday tried them ect at hosp.

today is the first time ive had to put them in alone took me about 15 mins :) and i have a question and im sure more will creep up in coming weeks.

I'm not sure if its how ive put them in they seem to be sitting in the right'ish place but seem to be a bit low so top of conact is only just over pupil area, which means im getting a fuzzy light above both eye's if you know what I mean. Is this normal and will they move to that place everytime? or is it how ive put them in and can hopefully be adjusted? so hopefully they can sit center.

The good thing is i can barely feel them after 30 mins just feels slightly like an eyelash in my eye at the moment.

Cheers

Michael

Michael

Welcome to the forum.

Many report lenses looking a bit odd and seeing edges when they first get them to use at home. However once they build the wear time and their eyes water less the lenses soon settle down.

If you are concerned, call the lens clinic for advise. You usually have a followup appointment about 4 - 6 weeks after getting lenses (in my area anyway) to see what the fit is like once you are used to the lenses a bit more and is any fine tuning needed.

Hope this helps some.

Ah thanks!

I will give it a few weeks to see how things come along, I've been told to try em for an hour today and 1 hour increments each day so this is poissibly to give my eye's a chance to adapt. and im sure 15 mins to get them in aint the quickest and after that point my eye's seem to be streaming water for a bit :)

Thanks again for your quick response

Michael

If mine dont feel right in my eyes I glance down and back up....only move your eyes. This puts them in the right place and Gareth is right you do stop noticing the edges of them after a while, I have had mine for a month now.
