DALK update

Postby Anne B » Sat 14 Jul 2007 12:52 pm

Hi all sorry i haven't replied to many posts recently, but i haven't been able to login for ages now. Not sure why or how i managed it today but i am back!!!!
Went for a check up with Mr Dart on Tuesday and found out i had 3 loose stitches (I had my graft in November) I had not noticed them and put the irritation i was getting down to hayfever  I was told that there was some blood vessels growing around a stitch and at that point he decided to remove all my stitches  I think there was about 10.
It didnt hurt at all but my eye was a little bit tender for a couple of days afterwards and needed to take regular pain killers. I still get a little bit of pain every now and them, a bit of a shooting pain in the eye.
I have also decided to go back on a short course of oral steriods to calm my allergic eye disease down. As it has got really bad over the summer and i need some peace from it.
I have to go back for a check up in a months time to check vision. If my astigmatism is still high i will then have a small op where you have two cuts put in the cornea (i think he called it refrative surgery)
We also talk about my left eye which is really quiet useless now, and it was suggested that i may get to have a graft on that eye towards the end of the year.
So its all going really well at the moment.

Hope everyone else is well

Anne

Anne

As long as you are happy with the progres that is good news.

Hope the refractive surgery goes well.

Regards

Gareth
